Yasmin Bock is a German and US-American multi-disciplinary artist based in Linz, Austria.
In her practice, unconventional materials, including bioplastics, 3D prints, and textiles, are transformed into sculptural objects inspired by nature, science, and science fiction. In parallel, she explores the possibilities of digital media, creating animations through creative coding and developing interactive programs.
Through her projects, she seeks to create narrative experiences based on speculation and world-building. Her experimental and colorful creations are set within the wider context of environmental and social awareness.
Currently, she works with bioplastics and aims to further expand her research into the field of bioart by experimenting with bioluminescent algae.
